Anneta: Failure and a Growth Mindset – the Role of Failure in Successful PTSD Recovery
Grow or Die
William S. Burroughs said, ““When you stop growing you start dying.”
This is true in life, and in PTSD Recovery. An essential aspect of recovery is movement–moving forward. Keep moving forward. Just don’t quit. This doesn’t mean there won’t be failure.
But there is a big difference between quitting and failure.
Quitting means you’re giving up, failure means you’re trying. Quitting means no more forward motion…quitting means dying.
Try or die, friend…try or die.
If you’re looking for more of this type of content, I think you would find my book ‘#dealwithit- living well with PTSD’ helpful. I talk about what I did to help graduate beyond just being a ‘survivor’ of PTSD and trauma; what works; what doesn’t; what I screwed up. It’s a book about overcoming adversity and mental illness.
